Braddock's Road
The Braddock Road was a historical roadway in what was then British America and is now the United States. It was constructed in 1755 by British troops who were part of an expedition to conquer the Ohio Country from the French at the beginning of the Seven Years' War. From WIKI - Also, see page 309.
Capt. Mackay
James Mackay was a captain in the British Army during the French and Indian War. He was in command of the Independent Company of South Carolina when he was sent by the Governor of South Carolina to assist Virginia's defense of the Ohio Country from the French in the summer of 1754.
